  1. When creating a photo essay you must make sure to create a headline for your photo essay to give your audience a sense of what they are looking at. You must also include visual variety, distance, and sequences. Finally you must include an “end” to a story, meaning that there needs to be a final picture summarizing your photo essay.

Three things I learned yesterday about creating a photo essay is that the first picture that the essay includes should be a wide angle or clear picture of the setting of where this essay takes place. Secondly, the photo essay should also include a theme. Thirdly, the photo essay should incorporate elements such as dead space/negative space, making sure to be clear what you want the viewer to see.

  4. Yesterday I learned, that when creating a photo essay you need to basically create three shots, an establishing shot close up detailed shot, and a main story shot. In a photo essay you always need to tell the viewer where you are some how in a photo. and eliminate dead space in photos.

  5. Yesterday learned essential techniques on creating a photo essay. One of those is to know your place, or the area of what you want to shoot. Another technique is to be sure to clearly state the message you want to express in your photograph. The last thing i learned is to also be sure that there is an end to your story. These are some techniques i learned in creating a photo essay.

  6. I learned that framing is important- you don’t want people’s legs or faces cut off. I also learned that the subject of the photo is key; the action they are performing can change the tone and mood of the entire photograph. Lastly, I learned that photo essays need to tell a story through a series of somehow related images as opposed to many unrelated images.

  7. In order to create a successful photo essay, you must have an established theme. From there on you should have a setting and an idea as to where you want to shoot. When taking pictures you should give the reader/ viewer different perspectives (Macro, Micro, wide-angle, etc. shots.)

Two everything in the frame of your shot should be there because you want it to be in the frame. Lastly your photo essay should included lots of visual variety such as depth of field, angles, etc.

  9. Yesterday, I learned how to create a photo essay. To create a photo essay, you need to have certain things like a theme, which all your pictures will end up relating to. A photo essay also consists of a title, setting and an end. It is nice to include a surprise photo which is a little out of the ordinary compared to the rest of the pictures in your photo essay. As well as the surprise photo, you may also include wide angle, detailed and portrait shots.

  10. When creating a photo essay, I learned that it’s important to try and capture the photo in a way that conveys the story or emotion that you want. Additionally, there are many factors compositionally that can “make or break” a photo, such as dead space, and cutting off areas of the subject. It is also helpful to take many different shots from different angles, and exposures, and then choosing the best shot from those collection of pictures.

  11. It could take up to three months to create a photo essay. Your photo essay must always have a theme and a title that is relavent to the theme. All your photos must connect in a way and have sequence. You must have patience to get the right/ best quality pictures you are looking for.

Second thing is I learned from yesterday about creating a photo essay is you need to have a details that tells a story. And the third thing I learned from yesterday class is Ending shot is you need to its like what happen beginning to end you need to show it in one photography.

  14. When creating a photo essay, you should plan it out such as creating a headline, choose a leading image as well as other elements. We also learned how to improve our photos by making sure everything we want is in frame and everything we don’t is out of the image. The guest also suggested we eliminate what isn’t necessary.

Three things that I learned about creating a photo essay yesterday are to have at least one image that provides the viewer with a sense of setting, to include wide angle pictures as well as close-up and detailed ones, and to cut out unnecessary space/ objects that do not really add anything to the photograph.
